Sudanese Embassy employee goes missing

The Sudanese Embassy in Juba says one of its employees has been missing for the last four days.

The Charge d’Affaires in the embassy, Majdi Ahmed Almufadel says the embassy has reported the disappearance of Kuwa Harina to the authorities.

“We lost his contact on Friday the 1st of May at around 11:00 am; it means his last phone call was at around 10:45 am after that if you called, it would tell you it is close. He has worked in our consulate in JIDDA. He came to work here in the Embassy in Juba in 2011,” he said adding that they have communicated the matter to the foreign affairs and with the foreign missions.

Intelligent agencies in the country and all police stations have been notified and hospitals searched.

Mr. Al mufadel says the embassy has filled a case of a missing person with the police.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs could not confirm the disappearance of the official.
