South Sudan Red Cross Society is holding a campaign to donate blood to Al-Sabah Children Hospital in Juba.

The one day campaign started this morning under the theme: “Donate blood and save more than one child.”

“Today, there will be awareness and video session for people to know more about the importance of blood donation. Then for those who donated that will be good and those who didn’t donate they can go to the Blood Bank or direct to Al-Sabah or Juba hospital.” Joseph Lukak, the Branch Director for Central Equatoria State said.

He says the program also aims at raising awareness about blood donation.

Lukak appeals to those who may not have the time to donate blood today to visit Al-Sabah Children or Juba Teaching Hospital in the coming days.

He says the program was organized in coordination with the National Blood Bank and Al-Sabah Children Hospital.
