The opposition political party, SPLM-DC says it will continue to work to bring a just and sustainable peace in the country.

On Saturday, the SPLM-DC marked six years in existence since June 2009.

Party leader Dr Lam Akol said peace needs to be prioritized, in order to find solutions to the problems currently facing the country.

He was speaking during the anniversary celebration at the SPLM-DC Secretariat in Juba.

“In the coming period, we plan to pursue the search for a just and sustainable peace through an inclusive process that does not exclude any stake holder,” said Dr Akol.

“Peace is a priority, and is the key towards the solution to all the problems afflicting our country.”
