The South Sudan U-17 football team kicked off their campaign in the CECAFA U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers 2024 with a commanding 3-0 victory over Somalia at Nakivubo Hamz Stadium in Uganda.

The win placed the Junior Bright Stars at the top of Group B, marking a strong start in the tournament.
