A soldier has shot his wife dead in Wau Municipality of Western Bahr el Ghazal state.

The Deputy Mayor of Wau City Council, Mr. Anthony Charles, told Eye Radio the unnamed man has now been arrested.

“The reason of the killing, according to the information we got from the killer, is that, he accused his wife of having a relationship with one of the foreigners working as a butcher in Jou market in Wau,” said Mr. Charles.

“This man shot his wife four times.”

Mr. Charles urged the people of Wau not to resort to violence if something of this kind happens.
