Two people have been shot dead in separate road ambushes in Wau state.

Officials say one of dead was travelling on a motor bike between Mamoi and Busere administrative centers when the felt into the ambush yesterday.

The second was an SPLA officer moving on the same route. The identity and the motive of the attackers are not clear.

“According to an official from the office of police commissioner in the state, they [gunmen] fired bullet on the two people on the motorbike unfortunately one person died on spot. I spoke to some eye witness, an SPLA soldier was also shot dead, which is not clear who is actually is behind that attack in the area,” he said.
