The Ministry of General Education and Instruction says the 2025 Certificate of Secondary Education examination results will be released before the end of this month.

The announcement comes as thousands of candidates who sat for the examinations have waited for more than four months since the exams were conducted in December last year.

The delay has left many students unable to proceed with university registration and other academic plans.

Speaking to Eye Radio on Monday, the Ministry’s Communication Officer Peter Bior said there will be no further delay in the release of the results, adding that the ministry remains committed to the earlier timeline announced for the end of May.

“End of May yes I think end of the May will be If there’s nothing going to happen again I’m going to update you,” Bior said in a phone interview.

More than 40,000 students across the country sat for the secondary school examinations between 1st and 9th December 2025.

The delay in releasing the results comes despite earlier assurances from the ministry that the results would be issued on time to allow students join higher institutions of learning within and outside South Sudan.

The Ministry is now urging students and parents to remain calm as final processes are completed ahead of the official announcement.
