Authorities in Ruweng Administrative Area have hired 40 professional Primary and Secondary school teachers who will be paid as much as the cabinet ministers.

They have also recruited 139 volunteer teachers to be deployed to different public primary schools and only three secondary schools across the area.

“The national government to motivate them to teach our children in Abiemnom, Touch, Jamjang, Aling, Jau, Wounkur, Lake Nou, and all the counties,” said Stephano Wieu Malek who is the area chief administrator.

Stephano did not mention how much the teachers are going to be paid.

But he said, …. should be equivalent to the salary of a state minister.”

The oil-rich producing area will also cater to their accommodation, feeding, medical, and other needs.
