Russia announces 20 scholarships for S. Sudan students

The Russian government has announced 20 academic scholarship vacancies for South Sudan students to pursue fully funded higher education in various fields.

Students can apply for the scholarship through the Minister of Higher Education in Juba before April 17, 2023.

The scholarship slots were posted by the National Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of higher education, the scholarship is fully funded and covers accommodation, international flights and transfers, monthly allowances totaling about 550 USD, and health insurance.

The study fields include Logistics, Tower Crane Operator, Welding engineering, heavy equipment operator, service and hospitality, catering industry, front desk service, tilling work, installation work and production operator.

Only aspiring students who sat for the academic year 2020 – 2021 are invited to pick the application forms – at a fee of 4,000 South Sudanese Pounds.

They are required to submit original copies of high school certificates, mandatory copies of their medical and birth certificates.

The deadline for submission of the applicant’s documents is 17TH April 2023.

Successful applicants will study in Russia over the next academic years.

According to the Ministry of Higher Education, the medium of instruction is the Russian language.
