RSS to send out newly appointed heads of foreign missions

Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Barnaba Marial

The government has made new appointments for the country’s foreign missions to improve its diplomatic front.

The President is said to have made new appointment for ambassadors as a way of reorganizing the diplomatic missions abroad.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, told Eye Radio that 25 officials have been appointed to represent the country.

The names are yet to be publicized.

Dr. Marial said the move to strengthen South Sudan’s foreign policy and unify its diplomatic approach to issues.

“This appointment will open a new page of a strong diplomacy that will deliver strong and accurate statements between the government and the ambassadors in all the foreign missions, so that if we will be saying the same thing that has happened in the Republic of South Sudan,” he said.

Dr. Barnaba Marial said that the names of the newly appointed ambassadors will be made public soon.
