Red Cross collects ‘many bodies’, won’t reveal details

Author : | Published: Wednesday, July 20, 2016

The South Sudan Red Cross Society says it has collected many dead bodies of people killed in the current fighting in Juba and buried them in two different mass graves.

It says the process of collecting the bodies from different suburbs ended yesterday in Jebel Kujur, which is the headquarters of the SPLM in Opposition forces in Juba.

Communication and Mobilization Manager of Red Cross, Marial Mayom, says the mass graves are in Giada and Checkpoint in Jebel Kujur.

He says it is not their work to say in the media how many bodies they have collected.

Mr. Marial calls on the public to call Red Cross if there are dead bodies in their residential areas.
