The call was made by SPLM First Deputy Chairperson Prof. James Wani Igga during the Central Equatoria State SPLM Expanded Leadership Summit held on Tuesday in Juba.

The summit, which brought together party leaders and representatives from across the state, resolved to intensify mass mobilization efforts and strengthen party structures ahead of the elections.

Prof. Igga opened the meeting with a lecture on effective mobilization strategies and the importance of party discipline. The session was aimed at equipping party members with the knowledge and skills required to effectively coordinate mobilization activities at all levels of the party.

SPLM Second Deputy Chairperson Mary Apayi and the party’s Secretary for Political Affairs, Mobilization and Organization, Ambassador John Andurga, underscored the importance of unity, consistency, and discipline within the party as the elections draw closer.

The two leaders also called on SPLM members in Central Equatoria State to play a leading role in the ongoing nationwide membership registration exercise being spearheaded by the party’s National Secretariat.

Speaking during the summit, Central Equatoria State SPLM Chairperson and Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony said the gathering was convened to translate resolutions adopted during the recent SPLM National Leadership Meeting into concrete actions at the state level.

The summit was attended by members of the SPLM Liberation Council in Central Equatoria State, national and state parliamentarian caucuses, national and state executive caucuses, members of the State Liberation Council, assistant secretaries, state directors, county chairpersons, county secretaries, and representatives of SPLM leagues from across the state.

The meeting forms part of broader efforts by the ruling party to reinforce its organizational structures and mobilize support ahead of the 2026 electoral process.
