President Salva Kiir on Thursday has relieved the heads of the National Security Service’s Internal Security Bureau, the University of Juba, and the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority in a fresh round of presidential decrees announced on Thursday.
In a presidential decree read on the state-run South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation, SSBC, the Director General of the National Security Service’s Internal Security Bureau, Chiec Mayor, was relieved of duty and replaced by Gen. Mawien Mawien, who was promoted from the rank of Major General to full general.
At the Ministry of Transport, Undersecretary Eng. Ceasor Oli Marko was relieved and replaced by Paul Dhel Gum.
Meanwhile, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Mining, Santino Matiok, was removed and replaced by Deng Makuok Riak.
President Kiir also relieved Mr. John Woja as Managing Director of the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, appointing Ayiel Garang Deng as his replacement.
In the education sector, Prof. Mayom Kuoirot was relieved as Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba, and Prof. Akec was reinstated to the position.
Additionally, Mr. John Daniel was removed as Commissioner of the Financial Intelligence Unit and replaced by Bona Gong Yieny.
