Plane crash survivor describes his ordeal

Wuor Arop, survivor of the tragic cargo plane crash last Wednesday tells his story of survival and how he saved the little girl, Nyalok Tong, during the time of the accident.

Eye Radio’s Emmanuel Joseph visited the 29-year-old earlier today:

The plane number EY406 was heading to Paloch oilfields in Upper Nile State on Wednesday and crashed just a few minutes after takeoff.

More than 40 people died in the crash.

The South Sudan Red Cross Society says it has collected 38 bodies from the scene of the accident; others could be trapped in the wreckage.

The only two survivors are now recovering at a hospital in Juba.
