Police in Western Lakes State have arrested two officials for selling school materials.

The unnamed officers from the state ministry of education were allegedly caught selling textbooks in Rumbek two days ago.

The Director General of the ministry of education, Akolda Mathok, told Eye Radio that the stationery has been confiscated from traders.

“All those involved in the illegal activity will also be taken to court,” he said.

Most of the school materials were donated to the state by Unicef.
