The Minister of Finance and Planning says the National Revenue Authority has collected 95 billion pounds in the fiscal year 2022/2023.

The non-oil revenue collection has increased from 43.4 billion pounds in the year 2021/2022.

Dier Tong Ngor said the collection is part of the Public Finance Management reform and the digitization of non-oil revenue collection in the country.

“The ministry of finance has stopped direct payments by the National Revenue Authority from the non-oil revenue collections as of 15th of August 2022,” he said on Thursday.

Minister Tong said the revenue collection has significantly increased by 51.4 billion pounds, after the NRA digitized the revenue collection and started sending it to a consolidated bank account.

“Also there have been progressive increment in the non-oil revenue collection from SSP 43.4 billion in the fiscal year 2021/2022, to SSP 95 billion in the fiscal year 2022/2023.”

“An aggregate increase of 51.4 billion, this is attributed to the implementation of the newly developed policies and digitizing of the NRA system of collection.”
