South Sudan’s former Vice-President Riek Machar says his group welcomes the call by regional leaders for a cessation of hostilities, Sudan Tribune reports.

The Ministry of Petroleum says that an oil company has suspended some of its operations in Unity but that oil production in Upper Nile is continuing as usual.

The Police Commissioner of Central Equatoria State says the dawn-to-dusk curfew now starts at 8pm instead of 6pm.
