Ministry of youth and sports in WBGs has formed state Junior Football team for Republican championship.

The under 19 state football team has started training this morning in Wau for the championships that have been scheduled to take place in mid-January 2016.

Ten states plus two administrative areas of Greater Pibor and Abyei will participate in the tournament, which will be organized by JICA in cooperation with the national ministry of youth and sports.

Wau town is one of the capitals interested in junior sports improvement, and they are waiting for the carnival conclusion of the Junior Governor Championships, which ended in April 2014.

They are also waiting for the distribution of the sports equipment that have been promised by the state governor, Brigadier Rizik Zakaria Hassan.
