Residents of Munuki Payam have called upon the Juba City Council to provide them with trucks for garbage collection.

A member of Munuki Development Committee, Francis Amen says they have submitted a letter to the council on the matter.

He says every household in the area has agreed to pay 20 South Sudanese pounds to facilitate the garbage collection process.

He said: “We have summited our matter to Juba municipality, that we need a truck for Munuki Payam to collect garbage three times in a week. And we will take from every house twenty pounds in the month to the city council as fees to facilitate the process of waste collection.”

Amen said the vehicle will be stationed in Munuki.

He says the Munuki Development Committee would provide fuel and repair the vehicles.
