Author : | Published: Saturday, May 30, 2015

The Governor of Western Equatoria State, Joseph Bakosoro has called on the SPLA soldiers in Mundri West County to return to the barracks.

Last week, soldiers shot randomly in the town after the killing of executive director, John Cleopa.

“I’m appealing to all organized forces to return to their stations and be calm,” Mr Bakasoro told reporters in Yambio Town after a visit to Mundri West County.

18 people; including five civilians were killed in the fighting.

Mr Bakosoro says civilians, who were displaced, should avoid revenge and return to their homes.

“I’m appealing to all the citizens not to take the law into their hands and not to react but to keep calm because the government is in control.”
