The Commissioner of Mundri West in Western Equatoria State says a team that was sent to the County to investigate the killing of a security officer has completed its work.

Last month, the head of security in the County was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in a market in Mundri.

Commissioner Lexon Maburuk told Eye Radio that the government then formed an investigative committee headed by the State Governor Joseph Bakasoro.

“They came here for investigation and they did it. But the results are not yet out,” Mr Maburuk said.

“They went back to Yambio. But the result of the investigations will be out during this week.”

Mr. Muburk says calm has returned to the county following the murder of the security officer, which he says created panic.
