A boda boda motor cyclist was slaughtered yesterday by unidentified gunmen at the outskirts of Yambio town in Western Equatoria State.
They then took his motorcycle and escaped.
The motive of the attack was not clear, but officials have been reporting such incidents of killings in the last few months.
The rider had carried his wife to Rambo suburb when the men attacked him on return to the town.
They first shot him in the shoulder and went ahead to lynch the man, our reporter in Yambio says.
“They came and badly slit his throat and took off his motorbike and pulled him a little out of the road side,” says Paul Night, reporting from the scene of the accident.
Authorities in Yambio have not commented on the matter.
