The Commissioner of Torit County in Eastern Equatoria State says his legal adviser is still missing.

Commissioner German Charles says Judge John Wani disappeared two weeks ago.

He left his house on the night of 10 July at around eleven o’clock. Officials say the judge had told people who were working at check point between Kapoeta and Torit that he was going to Ikotos. Ikotos is a small town situated along the Torit-Kapoeta road.

The commissioner says Mr Wani’s vehicle, including his documents and clothes, were found in Loming locality six days later.

Mr. German told Eye Radio that authorities are sending organized forces to the area to search for judge.

“Today we have agreed that we are going to send a good number of the organized forces to stay there at least for three days and move into the bushes to see if John is alive so that he can be rescued,” said Commissioner German.

“And if he died, we also want to seek his body.”
