A chief of the Misseriya tribesmen of Sudan says they have returned 88 heads of cattle that they raided last week from Aweil East State.

Eight people were killed and eight others wounded in the attack by the Misseryia.

Miseriya chief Ibrahim Sathur says the move comes as a result of a peace conference held in Aweil Town between the two communities, in which they signed an agreement to end hostilities.

Chief Sathur says they have also agreed to compensate the families of the deceased.

The peace coordinator of the Dinka Malual of South Sudan, Chief Manut Yel Lual says the compensation will be done according to the agreement they signed.
