Mapel traders close shops…

Author : | Published: Thursday, July 21, 2016

Most of the shops n Mapel, Wau, have been closed due to a shortage of goods, the state trade union has said.

Mapel town deputy chairperson of the trade union, Thomas Bol, says the scarcity of goods was caused by the high rate of the US dollars against the pound.

The union says most of the traders get their stocks from Wau town and Juba, but their suppliers have been selling the goods expensively.

“Our traders have decided so because of dollar; everything is dollar,” he told Eye Radio.
