The construction of UAE-donated Madhol Field Hospital in Northern Bahr el Ghazal’s Aweil East County is fully complete and awaits official handover to start providing medical services to local residents, the governor’s office said.

The field hospital was a gift from the oil-rich United Arab Emirates’ Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Zayed al Nahyan to the country.

The facility was to be built in Aweil East County of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State to serve the health needs of the communities for two years.

The temporary hospital was erected using containers as a backup service while the main hospital building is being constructed.

The state governor’s office said the project is being implemented by Abu Dhabi-based Burjeel Hospital Holdings.

According to Governor’s Office, the Modern Field Hospital is now fully installed and awaits its official commissioning to begin treating patients.

Governor Simon Ober Mawut toured the facility yesterday to review its readiness.
