Investigation is finished into the killing of the missionary sister Veronika Rackova, says the Deputy Governor of Yei River state, Abraham Wani.

Mr. wani says a fact-finding committee is now interrogating 3 SPLA soldiers linked to the killing.

“The culprits are arrested, investigation has gone and we are waiting for other senior laws from Juba because the magistrate,” Mr. Wani told Eye Radio.

He said Yei doesn’t have the jurisdiction over the case; authorities there are waiting for findings from Juba.

“The committee is chaired by the commissioner of Yei county and other members. They are only to establish the fact that these people have done the crime,” he said.

Late sister Veronika was shot and wounded in Yei while on a medical duty on 16 May.

She was then airlifted to a Nairobi hospital where she died from the gunshot wounds 4 days later.
