Lakes probes paramount chief’s death

A committee has been formed to investigate into the killing of the Lakes State’s paramount chief, Aperer Chut Dhuol.

The paramount chief was killed on Tuesday by unidentified gunman in his home in Rumbek East County.

The deceased is the elder brother to the caretaker governor of Lakes State, Matur Chut.

“We have formed investigation committee to find out who were really involved in this killing,” Santo Domic, Deputy Governor, told Eye Radio.

“The committee includes criminal investigation department, national security and military inelegance.”

Mr. Domic said the suspect is said to have been wearing SPLA uniform when he carried out the attack on the paramount chief.

The deputy governor said the body of the deceased chief was taken to Rumbek East County for burial yesterday.
