Lainya requests for opticians

Author : | Published: Friday, June 13, 2014

The Commissioner of Lainya is urging the government to send opticians to her county.

Mika Huda says the national ministry of health needs to treat people who have serious eye problems.

She says a team of eye specialists from Juba Teaching Hospital have visited Lainya.  And that they carried out eye tests.

Commissioner Mika Huda, says the team only concentrated on minor cases. And she says there are problems when people need further treatment…

“If the case requires operation, they send the case to juba…and with difficulties in the community, these people cannot afford to go to juba and even they can’t afford the treatment fee in juba,” she said.

“So, we request them; when they are coming here let then come also with full doctors that can come operate the affected people.”
