Kuwait has signed an agreement with the government for more than $11 million to build a maternity hospital in Juba.
The deputy director of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Hamad al-Omar, says the hospital will have a capacity of 150 beds.
“The aim for this grant is for building a hospital…to provide accommodation for the doctors and the technical and administrative staff of the hospital.”
The starting and completion dates have not been specified to the press.
The Minister for Cabinet and Parliamentary Affairs in Central Equatoria, Wani John, welcomed the agreement.
