Kiir reshuffles heads of public universities

President Salva Kiir has relieved seven Vice Chancellors and replaced them with five others into the 5 public universities.

The President has appointed the five new chancellors for the Universities in Juba, Wau, Malakal, Rumbek and Bor.

He also appointed two deputies for each university; one for academia and another for administration and finance.

He did not reassign the now former Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba, Aggrey Abate.

President Kiir appointed John Akech as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba, Samson Wasara for the University of Western Bahr el Ghazal, and Aggrey Ayuen as the Chancellor for the University of Rumbek.

Isaac Chuir has been appointed as Vice Chancellor for the University of Upper Nile, and Dr. Julia Aker has been appointed the new Vice Chancellor for Dr. John Garang Memorial University.
