Author : | Published: Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Charges against 20 women who were arrested last month for protesting against the state government have been dropped.

The women were released on bail two weeks ago.

Governor John Koang Nyuon warned the women not to be involved in politics.

“On my side, Doockdit, is free with her group, and if she stages another protest, I will not forgive her again,” said Governor Nyuon.

Last month, the women staged a protest, saying there was corruption and administrative weakness in the state administration.

The state government has denied the charges.

The women have confirmed that the pending charges against them have been dropped.
