An official in Eastern Equatoria state said the residents of Kasengor area are in dire need of food assistance and medication.
The state Minister of Local Government visited the area inhabited mostly by the Jie community in Kapoeta East County last week.
Charles Lokonoi said Kasengor is cut off from service delivery.
He told Eye Radio that the people in Kasengor are depending on bush meat and wild fruits, and called on the government to respond to their humanitarian needs.
