An official from the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangement Monitoring Mechanism says a team leader of the monitors in Torit has been released from detention.

Last week, the CTSAMM announced the arrest and detention of the unnamed ceasefire and security monitor.

It also said that this was one in a series of such restrictions on freedom of its movement.

This afternoon, an official confirmed to Eye Radio in a text message the release of the monitor but did not give further details.

The authorities were not available for comment.
