IDP women appeal for ‘dignity kits’

Author : | Published: Tuesday, September 9, 2014

The Women’s Association in Mingkaman, Aweial, is calling on humanitarian agencies to increase the supply of dignity kits to every female from 15 to 45 years of age.

The leader of the Women’s Association in Mingkaman, Abuk Kom, says women need dignity kits to maintain feminine hygiene.

Until July, women would receive dignity kits ever month.

“Most women cannot afford to buy the products they need in the market because they are IDPs,” said Ms Kom.

“It is so important to help young females.”

Last week, protection cluster officials stated that not enough dignity kits were available.

They told women to be patient until more kits are provided.
