Hundreds of people have demonstrated in Juba today against the proposed deployment of foreign forces in South Sudan.

They gathered at the Dr John Garang mausoleum to voice their rejection of the proposal which has been endorsed by the IGAD Plus and the African Union.

They were addressed by civil society activists. There was a similar protest in the Jonglei State capital, Bor, yesterday.
