Armed men attacked Lainya County police station this morning and took guns, according to the Security Advisor in Central Equatoria State.

Brigadier Abraham Wani told Eye Radio that the unidentified attackers overran the police post and seized the riffles.

“It was at around 2 to 3 am. They overran the police post and went away with some ripples,” Brigadier Wani said.

He said there were no casualties in the attack.

“The number of the police was not big. The police escaped, and nobody was killed,” he added.

The Brigadier said the stolen guns could be more than 10. He added that people in all the payams and counties of the state should be alert and report such cases to the government.
