The SPLM-In Opposition says 18 of its members who were arrested during the arrival of General Lado Gore on Tuesday have been released.
The government had said the group was accused of cause chaos to the general public at the Juba International Airport while receiving the guest.
The Press Secretary in the office of the President, Ateny Wek Ateny, on Friday, said they were handed over to the police for investigation before taken to court.
The spokesman of the SPLM in Opposition team in Juba, William Ezekiel, has confirmed the 18 people were released yesterday.
“We are delighted that our comrades who were under detention by South Sudan national security service for the last four days have at last been freed,” Mr Ezekiel told Eye Radio.
