The governor of Central Equatoria State on Monday issued an order suspending nightclubs during the two days of Pope Francis’s visit to South Sudan.

Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony closed down the night clubs within the capital Juba, “as the Ecumenical Peace Pilgrimage nears.”

In a Gubernatorial order, Adil has directed the Mayor of Juba Michael Ladu Allah-Jabu, and security personnel to immediately execute the order.
