Nine days since the devastating earthquake hit southern Turkey, Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu is still missing and thought to be trapped inside the rubble.

Earlier reports that he had been rescued from the rubble and hospitalized have turned out untrue.

His agent Nana Sechere told the BBC that they located Atsu’s exact room location and found pairs of his shoes.

He also said thermal imaging cameras had shown signs of “up to five lives” beneath the rubble, but that it had not been possible to confirm those signs.

Both his wife and club say they hope for good news.
