President Salva Kiir Mayardit has opened the fourth annual Governors Forum in Juba today.

The forum, which brought together governors and other big-shots from all over the country, was organized by the Directorate of Decentralization and Inter-Governmental Relations.

The governors will use the convention to discuss challenges facing people in their daily lives.

During the opening session, President Kirr said the forum will be discussing how to move the country towards peace.

“It is our collective responsibility to ensure that there is stability in the country and lives of all the citizens are secured. This entails self-sacrifice and joint efforts between the national Government in Juba and the states authorities.” The president said.

The theme of the forum was “National Reconciliation to Restore Peace, Unity and Reconstruction”.
