At least four people were killed, and two others wounded in a road ambush in Duk County of Jonglei State.

According to the state police commissioner, the travellers were attacked at around 10:00 AM yesterday morning by unidentified armed men between Pajok and Duk areas.

“There was a commercial vehicle moving from Duk County to a place called Pajok Payam. So, this vehicle carrying passengers between Duk and Pajok Payam  fell into an ambush,” said Elia Costa

And it resulted in the killing of four people and wounded 2 people by unknown criminals.”

Elia Costa couldn’t reveal the deceased names but said the dead were all men. The motive of the attack is unclear.
