Five motorcycle robbers arrested in Juba

A joint security force on Thursday apprehended five suspected armed robbers and recovered dozens of motorbikes in the ongoing crackdown against criminal gangs in Juba city.

National Police Spokesperson Major General Daniel Justin said the suspects were arrested at different localities in the city.

General Justin also revealed that the security apparatus seized about thirty stolen motorcycles from the suspects.

“We are currently gathering them. We have arrested five individuals, the number is more than that, and we have seized thirty motorcycles in various parts of the capital,” he said.

He stated that the police are using the detained suspects to trace their network.

“Some of them confessed to committing several crimes in some areas, where they confessed to their accomplices in the crimes, and we are now searching for them and arresting them.”
