Eddy Kenzo loses Grammy Award to South African trio

South Africa’s Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode won the Best Global Music Performance category at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles for their song Bayethe.

The South Africans have beaten Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo, USA’s Matt B, Nigeria’s Burna Boy among others in the category.

They had also won over the likes of Arooj Aftab, Eddy Kenzo, Matt B, Burna Boy, among others to win the Best Global Music Performance award at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, USA.

Eddy Kenzo was nominated as one of the favorites to the prestigious award in January 5th 2023. He was close to becoming Uganda’s first Grammy winner.

Meanwhile, Beyonce has become the most decorated artiste in the history of the Grammys after winning four awards in the ongoing ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, US.

The Grammy queen has now been decorated 32 times in her career.
