The Hollywood actor George Clooney has launched a new project aimed at helping to end the war in South Sudan.

The goal of the project called “GUARD” is to dismantle the networks of perpetrators, facilitators and enablers who fund and profit from Africa’s deadliest conflicts.

The project identified South Sudan, Sudan, the CAR and DR Congo in the category.

In a press statement, Mr. Clooney says will investigate and track the money being used by the warring parties to fuel the civil war in the country.

He says those benefiting from this conflict should pay the damage.

Mr. George Clooney established the project together with John Prendergast, a former Africa director at the US National Security Council.
