The Executive Director of Junubin Chronicles, Mr. Biar Ajak Marol, has been declared missing in Juba as of October 5, the youth-led organization has confirmed.

A statement said Mr. Biar was reported missing on Thursday after his family and friends filed a missing person report at the Central Police on Friday.

“We would like to inform our members, colleagues, partners, and the general public, that our executive director, Mr. Biar Ajak Marol was officially declared missing yesterday, Thursday,” it said.

Biar is said to have left home on Wednesday morning wearing a “white and blue English football jersey and grey sweatpants.

The statement added that the missing person stepped out without notifying his family, friends or workmates, and since then, he never returned home.

“This prompted his colleagues to report him missing and initiate a search party that led to his Subaru B4 number plate SSD 483 AG being located next to Freedom Bridge at Lologo intact but the car keys missing, and no witness saw him thereafter.”

The group appeals to members of the public to contact the family or police should they, by any chance, happen to see him.

Eye Radio contacted the police spokesperson Major General Daniel Justin, who said he was still waiting for a police report on the issue before making an official statement.

Junubin Chronicles calls itself a non-governmental organization fully registered under the office of the Ministry of Justice and the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission in South Sudan.

According to the group’s website, it works with youth in urban and rural areas across the country to empower youth towards peace building “in order to create a future where youth are able to facilitate their own development.”
