UNICEF says the death rate of cholera has reduced from 10% at the declaration of the outbreak to less than 3% at the end of July.

The agency gave this information in its monthly report released on Sunday.

More than 1,400 cases of the epidemic have been reported in Juba and Bor since June, including 42 deaths, according to the World Health Organization.

It says the fatality rate has now reduced.
