One person was wounded yesterday during clashes between two communities in Juba.

A community leader said the fighting was over land dispute in Gudele one area.

The chairperson of Gudele Block 7, Stephen Ladu Oliver told Eye Radio that the police arrested a number of people involved in the fighting.

He said the fighting was limited to Kuburi Aboba area.

“There’s land grabbing there. One chief of the area was cut with Panga he was taken to hospital and other group run to the bush saying that they are going to meet there,” Mr Ladu described.

“At night, they came, armed, to the same place. I think the injured are many.”
