The Minister of Information of Central Equatoria State, Patrick Nyarsuk, has praised the late Emmanuel Joseph Akile for using his Dawn Show to guide leaders and promote responsive governance in the state.

Speaking during the memorial service for the late Eye Radio Dawn Show presenter, Nyarsuk said Akile helped decision-makers understand the challenges facing citizens through calls received during the “residence report,” where listeners explained the issues affecting them.

“Through this role, Akile helped strengthen governance by using his Dawn Show to help leaders understand the people’s challenges,” he said.

“The late Emmanuel Joseph Akile has always been at the table of decision-making in the Central Equatoria State government. Through his Dawn Show reports, he helped constitutional office holders understand the challenges facing the people and make the right decisions,” Nyarsuk added.

“He served as a presenter for more than 10 years and never complained about politicians who did not cooperate. Every morning at six, he used his microphone and studio to give a voice to the people,” he said.

“Akile was not just a journalist, he was a liberator, and we recognize him for that as the government of Central Equatoria State. Akile was not just a son to his family; he was a leader for the people of Central Equatoria,” Nyarsuk added.

Akile died on December 30, 2025, in Juba after a short illness. Aged 36, his sudden passing has triggered widespread mourning and tributes praising his dedication to journalism.
