Businesswomen urged to use technology to advertise products

The national Minister of Culture Museums and National Heritage has appealed to businesswomen to take advantage of technology in marketing their products.

Dr. Nadia Arop Dudi made the call during the commemorating International Women’s Day in Wau on Wednesday.

Arop says women can use smartphones to sell their agricultural, craft, and animal products.

She emphasized employment of the new technology to develop, elevate and educate women in South Sudan.

“Let us take advantage of technology to raise the status of women in the country. I know that the women in Wau here are farmers,” she said.

“Ask your son to photograph your agricultural products on the phone. For example, display the stages of production and extraction of pearl oil, and display it on the Internet. You will find many buyers Thus, we have created an innovation.”

On Wednesday, South Sudan celebrated the International Women’s Day today under the global theme; Innovation and Technology.

The annual event celebrates the achievements and contributions in social, economic, cultural, and political achievements and contributions of women.
